Eating chicken, corn on the cob, and mashed potatos with this brew. The cap is hard to crack and with no "crack" to make it worthwhile. An 'ok' first sip - a definite bad beer taste, which isn't necessarily "bad". And the food sucks by the way, everything came out bad. The beer's better by the halfway point. Swill gets a little watery. Made me have to piss a couple times - this is a piss beer. No buzz. Overall 5/10 swills for a bad beer 40. Props to neufutur for allowing me to re-review this!

dealing with problems 'my way' and a steel reserve 211 40oz

this brew was not very good. i drank it as my 2nd 40 of the night, after a natty bo (also my 1st) which i thought was much better, and definately a comparable brew. while the natty bo ripped a nice crack this was a piece of shit crack. the beer seems flat stale and stagnant throughout its life. it just went from bad to worse when i had to leave for 10 minutes and put it in the freezer. i drank a bud light can after that which is the worst beer of all time and it tasted fine after the iron city. i hate iron city....and i love the vast majority of bad beers.

excellent 40 bottle, standard bad beer...not much more to it than that.

My thanks to neufutur for pointing me in the right direction to find a single Iron City 40 at Charlie Chickens in Washington PA.

Drank this during the first period of game 7 of the Stanley Cup at a hotel in Pittsburgh. Iron City is just a poor excuse for a beer. Even ice cold, it doesn't taste very good. After a long drive you'd think anything would hit the spot but this stuff didn't. No hiss and an almost flat taste. Even whipping it down quick, the swill still sucked. A friend of mine once said Pittsburgh looks better through the bottom of an empty Iron City bottle - I hope he just dumped the beer. 2/10 swills.
