the same company also owns a few record stores in washington and oregon called "Everyday Music". They are located in Beaverton, Portland, Seattle,
and Bellingham. Have you been here?
When I was younger basically my biggest hobby and interest was music and collecting/experiencing more of it. By the time I was in high school I had about
1000 cds which is not the biggest collection you are gonna see but I was quite proud and happy with. I would say about half these cds came from everyday music
in downtown portland which is like at the other end of the block from powells books which is apparently the largest independent bookstore in the world. It was
great, EM used to sell what they called 'skuf' cds which were used cds they bought from people that were not in perfect condition and sold for like
2.50. Took a lot of searching but always ended up with a bunch of cds and they rarely didn't work.
As for vinyl. Only vinyl is used to listen to was basically punk 7" records. Since then my record player killed itself but I remember there was a store
in seattle downtown that basically only sold punk vinyl and would have crates of basically unknown artists 7" that were like 10 to 50c a record. Used to
pick up these crates of these and just listen to 7" records for like months, a ton of crap but a few great jems and even more a ton of great artwork. I
wish I had kept more but I was in high school and b/c they were like 10c records a lot of the time I would just fling them across the room when I was done.

And I'd always get pissed off when I listened to it because there'd always be a second-long pause between the songs, and the first couple songs all
fade into each other. I always thought it'd be cool to have on vinyl for that reason... and I guess some of you did too.
