First sip was a "holy fuck!" moment... tasted like garbage with hints of grape. Second sip, the same. After a couple more sips, it started chillin
the fuck out & actually tasted watery & not the least bit high in alcohol content. So the first 1/4 it was crap, the middle half was pretty decent,
and the last 1/4 was crap again. I'd be perfectly happy not drinking this 40 again, but at the same time, regardless of my very first impression of it,
it's not one of the worst I've had. For 10% ABV, I gotta give it some props in the taste department, but I never did actually receive much of a buzz,
which makes me question its legitimacy. Overally 6.5/10 swills. Thanks out to crosman177 for hookin this up!

Super stoked to be the first to review this bad boy. What was once an internet legend has become a reality.
I received my 40 of Thunderbolt Extra Strong Beer today courtesy of novice poster and trader crosman in Calgary, Alberta. Threw it in the fridge for about 3 hours and cracked it at a so-so coldness. The first pull left me just as puzzled as my first pull from the Perfect 10 I had a while back. It had a bizarre sweetness that was on the one hand exactly like a +10% brew and on the other hand very different. I didn't know what to make of this stuff at first. It had very little carbonation and wasn't very thick. It went down super smooth with each massive pull I took from it. I think this must be extremely fresh because at no point did it ever become unpleasant in a harsh super-HG way. I enjoy Molson Dry 10.1 and Bleue Dry 10.1 but both make me cringe at one point or another. This slipped down with the ease. The 10% is extremely deceptive. I didn't notice anything until the half-way mark and then it hit me. Now that it's done I'm pretty buzzed, it's a nice buzz too. Like literature from a particular author it's not hard to draw parallels between this product and other Minhas beers. It definitely reminds me of Axehead but not harsh at all, just really, really sweet. It's almost closer to the taste of Perfect 10. Either way I'm very glad I got to drink and review this first. 7/10 |

Got this the same day as dot, but I have to work 8 hours a day, so I sad to say I am the second to review this 40oz. Got say thanks to my boy crosman177 for
the hook up on this 40oz. Crack is super stronge and first sip is like syrup, this is some super sweeting shit. Its reminding me of Four 0 but with more sugar.
I have to say this has like zero carbination and goes down pretty fucking easy for being a super strong Biere forte. I used to love high alc 40oz but I have
grown out of that, I think this one is too much for me. I still love me some Camo but the Thunder Bolt is just too sweet. I love the bottle, for my collection
I would say this is a solid 9 bottle/label wise. Drink wise I am going to have to go with 5 out of 10,Hangover is around 7 out of 10 Buzz is around 7.5 out of
10!

Thanks to crosman177 for hooking me up with this one. Took a chug and was taken by suprise, concidering I thought it would have a little more 10% in the taste. Instantly it reminded me of Four O (granted I have only had Four O once and it was a few months ago). After a couple more pulls I'm getting used to the flavor, cant say I like it... but it isnt the worst 40 I've had. I'm feeling the buzz around 3/4 through. So far I've only made a "gagging" face twice... i think it has something to do with the rotting fruit flavor. I know for a fact I havent eaten what this tastes like, and i'm pretty sure I wouldnt care to. Overall I'm not complaining.... Taste 5/10
