Old Style was produced in 40oz bottles by G. Heileman Brewing Co. and the brand is now owned by Pabst Brewing Company. It's not a strong beer, weighing in at 4.64% ABV. Similar to National Bohemian in Baltimore, Old Style is Chicago's brand. It's another basic cheap beer brand, but when in Chicago it's extra enjoyable, and I'm sure the locals enjoy their regional brand as well. It's an enjoyable easy to drink brew. 6/10 swills.
I've drank this countless times out of a can, 12 and 16 ozers. It is what it is, and nothing more. Its not made in Chicago, but its big here, I have a feeling its bigger in Chicago then alot of other cities. Don't expect to much, and take it for what it is: thats Old Style. More watered down then many swill beers I would categorize with it. One of the worst in my estimation. goes beyond 'boring' to just 'bad' due to the water flavor which can make me gag from a can.
